2024 AND BEYOND
This year has been an unprecedented year for Vekoma globally, given the incredible number of projects we have worked on. We have not only installed several new rides, but they are also very diverse, ranging from family-oriented rides to high thrill coasters. The family coasters ‘Snoopy’s Soap Box Racers’ at Kings Island, ‘Midnight Flyer’ at Santa’s Village in Jefferson (NH) and ‘Good Gravy!’ at Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari have been the first of their kind to open in the United States. Energylandia in Poland has opened a Mine Train ‘Choco Chip Creek’ & Kalypso Family Coaster ‘Honey Harbour’ at the new Sweet Valley area. Emerald Park in Ireland has opened the Suspended Thrill Coaster ‘Na Fianna Force’ and Family Boomerang ‘The Quest’ with intertwined design.

Currently, two projects are under construction in Australia and will open to the public towards the end of the year.Warner Bros. Movie World Australia will open its Wizard of Oz precinct featuring a Suspended Family Coaster 'Flight of the Wicked Witch' and Family Boomerang Racer 'Kansas Twister'. The combination of these two rides creates a unique blend of ride experiences, not yet seen in the world. It's a perfect integration of two totally different ride experiences: a family thrill suspended coaster experience, with an unobstructed flying sensation and high speed; a racing shuttle coaster experience, with forward and backward runs, and a number of crossing and duelling effects that will appeal to families as well as to the more adventurous.
Dreamworld on the Gold Coast in Australia, will open the world’s first Switchback Coaster ‘Jungle Rush’ at the new area Rivertown. This family-thrill coaster is set to be the first of its kind, with the ride design supporting multiple different cycle paths, featuring the world’s first inclined turntable and offering an immersive adventure for visitors of all ages! It will include 12 airtime elements, dedicated show moments and the ability to run both backwards and forwards!
New projects around the world
Looking ahead to 2025, it will be a special year for Vekoma with a lot of projects that are opening around the world.
Thrill coasters like the Tilt Coaster ‘Circuit Breaker’ at Cotaland and ‘Siren’s Curse’ at Cedar Point will open to the public.
World’s tallest Tilt Coaster ‘Iron Rattler’ is rising at Six Flags Qiddiya City in Saudi Arabia. Teeter over the edge and peer into the depths on this fast and wild Tilt Coaster that promises to be an exhilarating adventure! It’s a fast-paced ride experience, reaching speeds of 118km/h for the ultimate thrill seekers with a minimum height requirement of 120cm. Riders are lifted to more than 60 meters high and tilted from a horizontal to a vertical, 90 degree position. Get ready, and… drop! The layout with a total track length of 1,240m includes several modern-age thrill coaster elements like camelbacks, full-speed double Zero-G roll, carousel turns and no less than 5 inversions and 12 airtime moments. It’s a breathtaking roller coaster experience, with thrills unlike any other coaster and unique in the world!
Furthermore, North America’s first Super Boomerang ‘The Flash: Vertical Velocity’ will open at Six Flags Great Adventure and a Family Boomerang Rebound ‘ShootOut’ will open at Oasis at the Lake of Ozarks. Santa’s Village in Canada is opening a custom design Family Coaster ‘Yeti Trek’ and a Suspended Family Coaster ‘Serpentikha’ will open at Aztlán Parque Urbano in Mexico.
In Europe we will see the opening of an indoor Family Coaster ‘Bulder Baan’ at the new indoor theme park Bommelwereld, a Kalypso Family Coaster ‘Wild West Coaster’ opens at Winnoland in France, that offers excitement for families of all ages, including first-time riders. The Polish theme park Mandoria will open an indoor Family Launch Coaster ‘Aquila’ - a sensational Launch Coaster reaching speeds up to 70 km/h. This 450-meter ride will do a double pass with a second launch on the fly creating a 900-meter ride experience for the whole family. The 95cm rider height restriction is the lowest in the world for this Family Launch Coaster with an acceleration from 0-70 km/h in just 3 seconds!

For the ultimate thrill seekers BON Luxury Theme Park introduces you to Latin America’s only Double Launch Coaster ‘Tecuani Beast’, that will be an intense, adrenaline-pumping, unique ride with 20 different track elements including a world’s first Double Roll-Over Tophat, more than 16 seconds of airtime and 6 inversions. With a total track length of 1,200m and a top speed of 105 km/h it’s the longest and fastest Launch Coaster in Latin America. A thrilling and exceptional experience for visitors, combined with a high level of theming and surrounded by the nature and lush landscape.
